KIONA SINAS VISION

Kiona Sina aims to provide an opportunity for those living in the UK and Europe, to learn and participate in the beauty of the Polynesian culture.

OBJECTIVE

  • To open a London based Polynesian Cultural Centre representing all cultures of the South Pacific.
  • The center to be created by Polynesians for the future generations of Pacific Islanders travelling abroad to Europe.
  • To respect our ancestors and continue our cultural traditions to ensure they remain ‘alive and strong’ for future of all generations.
WHO WE ARE
WHAT WE DO

Kiona Sina is a performing arts group based in London:

  • We consist of talented authentic pacific islanders with multicultural backgrounds, proud to share their cultural heritage through Polynesian dance and song performances
  • We hold educational workshops incorporating all cultures from the South Pacific and demonstrations of the transitions between song lyrics and dance movements, talks and demonstrations of traditional tattooing, tattooing tools, AVA ceremonies, myths and legends, dance implements, dance costume-making
  • We also share knowledge and seek advice from experienced tutors originating from the south pacific on traditional and contemporary dance movements and music
  • We promote cultural performing arts groups touring Europe and individual up and coming Pacific Island Artists
  • We support fundraising for charitable events, nationally and internationally
  • We communicate with our Pacific Island Community on a regular basis on future events held in Europe to gather support
  • We are re-educating Europe of who we are as Pacific Islanders and Polynesians on this side of the world

TUTORS

  • The Kiona Sina tutors are gifted artists in their field of discipline, passing on knowledge taught to them as children and students.
  • All current performance items have been choreographed by our tutors and are strictly reserved under the rights of the Kiona Sina group.
  • Kiona Sina also holds a Health and Safety Policy and is covered with a Public Limited Liability Insurance

  • All messages are cleared daily
  • A 50% deposit is required on confirmation of each booking
  • A 30% cancellation fee will be deducted from your deposit, should you no longer require our services
  • Refunds are paid within 14 days of a cancellation received in writing
  • All insurance requirements must be satisfied until any performance may continue
  • Other expenses may incur should there be a need to travel outside London and abroad
